A LETTER FROM MYCHAL MASSIE

Dear Dan,

There’s an old bromide that says “a fish rots from the head down,” and it is nowhere more applicable than with the feckless, craven, so-called Republican leadership of John Boehner and Eric Cantor.  One can see Obama’s hand on the back of their heads manipulating their mouths.  Boehner and Cantor, along with a host of other charades in the House of Representatives, have long done Obama’s bidding — and let there be absolutely no doubt that if they’re not doing ours they’re doing his.

It wasn’t enough that Boehner worked behind the scenes to derail investigations that should have led to Eric Holder being indicted for his role in Fast and Furious.

It wasn’t enough that Boehner struck abysmal agreements pursuant to the debt ceiling and every other budget concern that came before Congress.

Nor is it now enough that Boehner is stonewalling in getting to the truth about the murders of Ambassador Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and Sean Smith that Obama allowed in Benghazi.

Now Boehner and Cantor are publicly attacking Rep. Steve King, R-IA for daring to speak the truth about illegal aliens.  Last week King voiced what every reasonable, thinking American citizen knows to be true pursuant to granting amnesty to illegal aliens.

King said, “For everyone (illegal alien) who’s a valedictorian, there’s another 100 out there that weigh 130 pounds and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert.  Those people would be legalized with the same (amnesty) act.”

Granted, what King said wasn’t flattering, but it sure as heck was true.

Thursday of last week Boehner angrily said, “There’s no place in this debate for hateful or ignorant comments from elected officials.  Earlier this week Representative King made comments that were I think deeply offensive and wrong. What he said does not reflect the values of the American people or the Republican Party.  We all need to do our work in a constructive, open and respectful way.”

Cantor followed up Boehner’s remarks by calling King’s comments “inexcusable.”  It’s interesting that , under their failed leadership, the American people having to foot the bill with our tax dollars to support illegals doesn’t upset them nearly as much, if at all.

It is interesting, too, that neither Boehner nor Cantor has voiced concern for the verified crime wave being perpetrated by illegals.  Maybe they should talk to Mr. Jamiel Shaw, Sr. whose son, Jamiel Shaw, Jr., was brutally murdered in Los Angeles by a Mexican illegal alien as the way to earn his membership into a Mexican gang.  Maybe they should talk to the families who have had their loved ones killed in automobile accidents by illegals driving drunk.  Maybe someone should remind them that we have an epidemic drug problem in the United States that is directly attributable to illegal alien drug mules.  The truth may not always be pretty or nice but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be said.  Maybe Boehner and Cantor should be reminded of that.
